About
Mangoes reign as the most cultivated and consumed fruit globally, cherished for their succulent sweetness across diverse cultures. Under the Mango Tree serves as a sanctuary for mango enthusiasts and those intrigued by my work in organic agriculture and the mango industry.
As a seasoned expert in the mango industry, I share my personal insights, reflections, and reports on all things mango—from orchard to table. My goal is to empower growers, educate consumers, and offer valuable information to wholesalers and retailers. I cover the full mango supply chain, providing global crop updates, insights into mango production, and practical education on merchandising and commodity trends. I also share my extensive expertise in mango recipe development, usage, storage, and varietal knowledge in the kitchen.
With almost three decades in the organic produce sector, my passion for organic mangoes was ignited in 2006 during my first visit to a Mexican mango orchard in Uruapan. While I am deeply devoted to the Crespo Organic Mango brand and the Crespo family, the observations, opinions, and stories shared here are exclusively my own. This blog is my personal platform to explore the mango world through my unique lens and a personal selling took for my work with Crespo Organic mangoes.
My dedication to food and agricultural education is deeply intertwined with my lifelong culinary career. Beyond traveling the world to support farmers, I am a cooking instructor, food writer, recipe developer, and food marketing expert, specializing in fresh herbs, sustainable produce, and organic, fair-trade, and local foods. Commodity education is one of my distinct areas of expertise, helping connect the dots between farmers, retailers, and consumers. I am passionate proving that eating and cooking well is a simple task. I also have a special knack for inspiring and educating children.
I long for the day when we all recognize the deep interconnectedness of the people and places that produce our food. In my free time, I find joy in cooking and developing clever new recipes, often surrounded by friends, family, and my furry companions, Sapa & Inca. I take my role as an influencer in the lives of my many nieces and nephews seriously, believing that being a strong, independent, secure woman—one who has earned her power and wisdom—is the greatest gift I can give them.
Traveling the world, immersing myself in different cultures, and continuously learning bring me immense joy—as does any body of water, especially far-off beaches. I feel most at home when pushing boundaries, expanding my being, and embracing the unknown.
Under The Mango Tree,
in the quiet shade,
sunlight drips inward,
leaves sway in gentle breezes,
perfumed scents abound.
Under The Mango Tree,
hands meet, knowledge flows,
fruit ripens, journeys unfold.
Under My Mango Tree,
from orchard to table,
all is shared.
